Description of the organization
"he Firefighters Club of Macedonian is a cultural association whose members are active and retired firefighters, volunteer firefighters as well as civilian friends of firefighters and the service they serve. Our actions have an ecological content, such as collecting recyclable garbage from hard-to-reach locations, as well as informing agencies from our executives about natural disaster issues.
In the building where our headquarters are housed, we maintain a small museum of objects of firefighting interest, fire and chemical protection suits, as well as a pump from the 19th century
Actions that the organisation has organised or in which it has actively participated
In collaboration with the Municipality of Thessaloniki, collection of recyclable materials from an inaccessible area in the upper city of Thessaloniki, where special climbers were recruited, members of the association.
Informing the hunters' association of Northern Greece about the forest fires (reaction method and protection methods).
Organization of international sports football tournament with teams of firefighters in the city of Thessaloniki.
Organization of educational trips to fire services abroad.
