Description of the organization <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nBreath of Hope is a civic, non-profit organization active in charity work.\nIt was established in 2010 in the middle of the economic crisis, by a small group of people in an attempt to meet our fellow human beings` needs.Since then the original team has been joined by many new friends, volunteers and sponsors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aims and objectives<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Breath of Hope aims to benefit the community and our objectives are philanthropic, humanistic, eco-friendly, cultural and educational. A few of the include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nVoluntary help<\/li>\n\n\n\n Social protection and solidarity<\/li>\n\n\n\n Employment<\/li>\n\n\n\n Co-operation and joint activities, wherever possible, with groups at home and abroad who have similar goals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\nWhat we do:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When we hear of particular cases, after having first carefully checked and assessed their needs, we prepare and send dozens of parcels of basic \nnecessities (clothing, food, school supplies, baby items, toys, household appliances) from our headquarter to destinations throughout Greece.\nEvery year we send more than 500 aid packages all over the country, \nthe cost of transportation being covered by donations and the subscriptions of our members and volunteers.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Actions that the organisation has organised or in which it has actively participated<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\nCollection of food and consumer products for a monthly support of 90 families<\/li>\n\n\n\n Donation of toys to the Agricultural Children`s Nest of North Greece for the children in the public kindergartens in the Thessaloniki prefecture<\/li>\n\n\n\n Delivery of first aid staff sent to the Women`s House in Amygdalesa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nSorting items in our centre and sending parcels.<\/li>\n\n\n\n Finding sponsors for material, services or funding,<\/li>\n\n\n\n Using your car to transport items to or from our centre<\/li>\n\n\n\n Offering your services at bazaars or other activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n Taking part in campaigns and events<\/li>\n\n\n\n Distributing leaflets and information<\/li>\n\n\n\n Informing on shops or stores that could become collection points for donations<\/li>\n\n\n\n Places to host events<\/li>\n\n\n\n Suggestions for places where we can organise events (bazaars, exhibitions, dances, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n Become our eyes everywhere<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\nIf you feel that solidarity is an activity that can change the lives of some of our fellowmen and if this really drives you, then try to bring something to the cause of improving their living conditions in Greece.
