Description of the organization

HIGGS l Higher Incubator Giving Growth & Sustainability l is a non-profit organization which started its operation in 2015 with a founding grant of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. HIGGS is a pioneer in the Civil Society ecosystem, since it is the first and largest support hub for non-profit organizations and other initiatives that have a positive social and environmental impact, in Greece. In just 7 years of operation (2015 - 2022), HIGGS' team has supported 204 non-profit organizations from all over Greece, helping them to ensure financing of over €11,000,000, to create 861 new jobs and serve more than 360,000 beneficiaries.

Through well-structured programs (Incubator, Accelerator, Green & Social Entrepreneurship Incubator), we offer free training and specialized consulting programs to NGOs nationwide. As a hub for information and collaboration, we promote the networking of all stakeholders in the ecosystem. Closely monitoring the Greek ​​Civil Society and its needs, we produce relevant studies, we create capacity building and social impact measurement tools and we organize events with the aim of disseminating know-how and opening relevant dialogues.
