Description of the organization
The Association of Friends of the Disabled - ""Drasi gia to kati Allo"" is a non-profit association
that was founded in 2010, following a relevant decision of the Single Member
of the Court of First Instance of Thessaloniki, by professionals and graduates of University Departments of Special Education, with the aim of combating social exclusion, inequality and discrimination against people with disabilities.
Following the philosophy of equal participation in 'diversity', the entire operation of our program is purely based on the equal and selfless fermentation resulting from the interaction between people with and without disabilities, volunteers and professionals. The result is the creation of a social model in which essentially and responsibly no one is left out."

Volunteering opportunities provided by the organization.
In the world we make, no one and no one is left out! Our volunteer team consists of special education and mental health professionals, people who have a personal acquaintance or kinship with people with disabilities and even more people who have simply found the opportunity to contribute to the community and use a little of their time productively and meaningfully.
Over 100 active volunteers are employed annually by the Friends of the Disabled "Action for Something Else". Here we are all one big company full of love. We support each other and work as a team, volunteers and beneficiaries alike. We offer our volunteers the opportunity to be trained and to see their values and effort translated into practical love.
The participation of new volunteers in the team consists of 5 main stages which are: information, participatory observation, gradual involvement, full integration, continuous capacity building.
Anyone interested can join the volunteer group at any time during the year by contacting the organisation by phone or email.
