Description of the organization
Theater eF consists of artists from various fields and develops a variety of activities. Its interests include art, theater, dance, modern technology on stage, education and integration in the art of various social groups (adults, adolescents, children, people with disabilities) and research. It consists of artists and scientists who have studied, among others, Acting, Directing, Pedagogy, Visual Arts and Computer Science. It has presented her performances and activities in various places in Thessaloniki, Athens and in her own space and has collaborated with Greek groups as well as European groups through European programs of seminars, festivals and exchange of know-how.
The purpose of the company is the non-profit cultivation of the arts and especially the art of theater. In particular, the curation, production, organization and realization of theatrical and generally artistic performances, the research and cultivation of the expressive means of the participants, the training and exercise of young actors through the organization of courses, seminars and open discussions, the acquaintance of the public with the modern forms of theatrical expression, the organization of art exhibitions, the publication of theatrical or theater-related texts and programs, the cooperation with similar theatrical groups and public and private bodies in Greece and Europe and the participation in meetings and festivals of local, pan-Hellenic and international character. The company researches physical theater and its potential as an acting and directing approach.
Actions that the organisation has organised or in which it has actively participated
"Sound in motion: an art-cessibility project"": an inclusive educational program, with the aim of creating a musical puppet show with the joint participation on equal terms of people with and without disabilities of the upper limbs. It was implemented with the funding of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and in collaboration with the Macedonian - Thrace Branch of the Panhellenic Association of Paraplegics.
Every year the company of ""theatro eF"" conducts physical theater workshops and seminars for children, teenagers and adults as well as a special workshop for people over 50 years old. During the workshops, the participants are trained in theater and especially physical theater and performances are organized which are presented in open spaces in the city of Thessaloniki
In collaboration with the similar institutions from Belgium, Italy, Germany and Austria, ""theatro eF"" carried out the ""Cour'Age"" program financed by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union. The purpose of the program is the training and reintegration into the labor market of unemployed and people from socially marginalized groups through theater practice.
""Living Light"": an original work of visual theater with the participation of artificial intelligence in the place of an on-stage performer. The artificial intelligence was represented as a luminous entity in the form of the beam of a spotlight and was designed to enable the development of a living kinesthetic and experiential interaction between the human body and light. It was implemented with the funding of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.

"theatro eF" offers volunteer opportunities for anyone interested in engaging in any stage or field of theater production and education, without any age restriction. Participation of people from marginalized groups, people with disabilities and people from other countries, immigrants or not, is encouraged.
There is no specific registration period for new volunteers. It depends on the respective programs undertaken and carried out by the company.
